Seattle, WA : Motorcyclist dies in crash on I-90 in Bellevue early Monday morning, June 13, 2016

A motorcyclist was killed early Monday morning when he lost control of his bike and was hit by a pickup on I-90 in Bellevue.

The 19-year-old was westbound near 142nd Street when he lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle. A pickup also traveling westbound hit him. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The 22-year-old driver of the pickup was not injured and was able to drive his damaged Chevrolet Silverado away from the scene.

The road was blocked for three hours after the crash, which was reported at 12:31 a.m. Monday.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. His Yamaha motorcycle was totaled.
