Colorado Springs ,CO :One Person killed and another Facing Charges after fatal car crash near Garden of the Gods On Sunday morning ,May 3 2015

One person is dead and another facing charges after a fatal car crash near the Garden of the Gods Road exit of I-25.

Officers report that the crash happened around 2:40 Sunday morning.

Two people were in the car when it swerved off the road and collided with a tree. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to the hospital. The passenger, a 20-year-old woman, later died of her injuries. The driver, a 24-year-old man, has been charged with vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.

The right and center lanes of I-25 were briefly closed during the investigation.
