According to Michigan State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. at the intersection of Grafton and Labo Rds.
Witnesses told troopers from the Monroe Post and evidence gathered at the scene indicated a 2012 Chevrolet driven by Carolyn Kaiafas, 43, of Flat Rock was traveling west on Labo when she stopped at a posted stop sign at Grafton, but believed it was a four-way stop at the intersection.

Mrs. Kaiafas and her 5-year-old passenger were transported by Monroe County Ambulance to Beaumont Hospital in Trenton for non-life threatening injuries. The driver and victim in the F-150 was transported by Monroe County Ambulance to ProMedica Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, where he was pronounced deceased. The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of the family, said First Lt. Tony Cuevas, post commander.
