Peoria, AZ : Alcohol may be factor in hit-and-run crash at the intersection of 75th Ave and Thunderbird Rd. on Saturday, April 18, 2015

Peoria Police believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the death of a motorcyclist Saturday at the intersection of 75th Ave and Thunderbird Rd.

48-year-old Gary Allen Fisher was on his motorcycle stopped at a red light at the intersection. Police say when the light turned green he went through and was then rear-ended by a car. That driver fled the scene. Investigators were able to track down the driver by following a trail of leaking fluid.

Fisher was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The driver, a Glendale resident, was arrested and released pending blood test results. Peoria Police say this is standard practice in these types of accidents.
