Aspinwall, PA : Vehicle-pedestrian crash victim in Jefferson Hills identified on Friday, October, 13th 2017

The pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Route 51 Friday has been identified as Ernest Demar Boyd, 44, of Penn Hills, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner.

The incident occurred just after 7 p.m.

Boyd died at the scene about nine minutes after he was struck.

Allegheny County officials said Route 51 at Lewsis Run Road was closed for several hours after the crash.
