Bridge City,LA : Louisiana man identified as the victim in deadly multiple vehicle crash on I-65 on August, Tuesday 29th 2017

The truck driver killed in a deadly multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 65 on August 29 has been identified by the Mobile Police Department.

MPD spokeswoman Charlette Solis said the driver of the Volvo tractor trailer tanker was 44-year-old Aaron Jerome Parker of Independence, Louisiana.

Solis said a preliminary investigation of the crash showed that at 12:48 p.m., a Toyota Sequoia entered I-65 from the eastbound direction on Airport Boulevard and struck a Volvo tractor trailer tanker that was traveling northbound on I-65.

Police said the tanker swerved left, jackknifed, struck the overhead sign posts anchored to the median wall and overturned over the median in the southbound lanes of I-65. Parker was ejected and pronounced deceased on the scene.
