HUBBARDSTON, MA : 5 hurt in 2-car crash on Route 68 on Thursday, 26th December, 2019

Five people were hurt in a two-car crash Thursday on Route 68.
According to the Fire Department, at 6:11 p.m. they went to Route 68 near New Templeton Road to find two heavily damaged vehicles and several victims. Some were trapped in a smoking vehicle.
Firefighters with Engine 1 and Car 1 started trying to extricate a victim. Multiple ambulances and a heavy rescue company from Gardner arrived. Rutland and Barre firefighters also provided mutual aid.
Five people were taken by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center — University Campus in Worcester with what the Fire Department described as serious to life-threatening injuries.
Hubbardston police are investigating the cause of the crash.
