Yankton, SD : Yankton man dead after single-vehicle crash on Monday night, June 30, 2014

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash near Yankton.

According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Austin Olivier, 27, of Yankton, was driving south Monday night on 434th Ave. about five miles west of Yankton.

Troopers say Olivier lost control of 2004 Ford Excursion on a curve at the approach of Kaiser Road. The SUV entered the south ditch and overturned.

Olivier died at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, Yankton Fire Department, Yankton Ambulance and South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks assisted.
