A 72-year-old Enid man was injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash near Elm and 20th.
According to an Enid Police Department report, Walla Eckhardt was eastbound in a 2007 Dodge Caravan on Elm when he went left of center in the 2000 block of East Elm and struck a tree.
Eckhardt told police he did not remember what happened and said he must have blacked out prior to the crash. He also told police he was a diabetic, according to an EPD report. A witness told police she saw the van run the stop sign at 20th before crashing into the tree.
Eckhardt was taken from the scene by Life EMS to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center with non-incapacitating head and leg injuries.
