Orion, OK : Single-vehicle crash was nearly a mile east of Orion on U.S. 60 in Major County Thursday evening on July 10, 2014
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified a person killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening as a 56-year-old Vici woman.
The patrol identified the driver as Carol Anne Aguiar.
According to the patrol, the Aguiar was westbound on U.S. 60 about 6 p.m. three quarters of a mile east of Orion on U.S. 60 in a 1993 GMC pickup and drifted off the roadway to the right for an unknown reason.
Aguiar overcorrected to the left and entered a broadslide, according to the patrol. The GMC slid back off the road to the right, exiting the road to the north and rolling onto its top.
Aguiar was pinned for about 20 minutes and was freed by Seiling Fire Department.
The condition of the driver is listed as “unknown” and the cause of the collision is listed as “inattention.” Aguiar was wearing her seat belt.
