Erie, PA : Motorcyclist injured in Fairview Township collision with deer on Wednesday night, July 13, 2016

A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital Wednesday night following a collision with a deer in Fairview Township, state police said.

Authorities said the accident occurred at about 11:25 p.m. in the 7800 block of Sterrettania Road near Franklin Road.

The injured person was taken to UPMC Hamot in serious condition, authorities said.
