Manning, S.C : Liberty University student killed in car crash on I-95 in Clarendon County on Monday afternoon, March 13, 2017

A Liberty University student was killed Monday afternoon in a South Carolina car crash, the university said Wednesday.

Shinjae Park, 22, was a backseat passenger in a car traveling south on I-95 in Clarendon County when the car left the road and hit several trees, LU said in a statement, citing the South Carolina Highway Patrol.Park died at the scene. She was one of four LU students in the car going to Orlando for spring break. The other students were injured, with one suffering fractured ribs. All four wore seat belts, LU said.

Park, an international student from South Korea, attended 701 Korean Church on Thomas Road. The church will hold a prayer service for her tonight, on what would have been her 23rd birthday.
