CENTERVILLE, TX : Deputy killed, another deputy and an inmate sustained serious injuries in crash on Wednesday, 21st February 2024

One deputy is dead and another deputy was injured in a five-vehicle crash while they were transporting an inmate from Oklahoma to Montgomery County, according to the sheriff's office. The inmate was also injured.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday about five miles south of Buffalo, Texas and is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
