COMMERCE CITY, CO : 1 dead following auto pedestrian crash in Commerce City on Thursday, 27th October 2022

The Commerce City Police Department (CCPD) is investigating a fatal auto pedestrian crash that happened in the 9600 block of East 96th Avenue late Thursday night.

According to CCPD, a pedestrian was walking in the roadway when they were struck by the driver of commercial motor vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No other injuries were reported.

East 96th Avenue was closed between Alton Street and Heinz Way for several hours as crews processed the scene.
