MAIDENCREEK TWP, PA : Crash closes 222 in Maidencreek Twp. on Wednesday, 11th September 2024

An accident closed a section of Route 222 in Maidencreek Township on Wednesday morning.

Emergency officials closed down the southbound lanes just before 9 a.m. and diverted traffic onto Route 73.

A car and a tractor-trailer crashed, causing 350 gallons of diesel fuel to spill all over the road, said Northern Berks Regional police.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
