Manchester ,NH : Driver seriously injured and taken to hospital after crashing into pole on Monday night ,May 18th 2015

A car crashed into a utility pole in Manchester on Monday night, sending the driver to the hospital with multiple serious injuries.

Police said the Dodge Journey was traveling north on Mast Road around 10:15 p.m. when it left the road and went on to the sidewalk before hitting a utility pole.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was taken to Elliot Hospital to be treated for multiple serious injuries.

Police said the crash is under investigation, but it appears speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
