Palm Beach, FL : Fort Myers man charged with DUI in crash on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020

A four-crash Thursday night on Palm Beach Boulevard left 5 people, ranging from 11 to 78, seriously injured, Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers said a 2007 Dodge Silverado driven by Ruben Cortez, 55, of Fort Myers, was headed east in the outside lane of Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers about 7 p.m. Cortez rear-ended a 2013 Ford Edge, driven by Donald Hungerford, 77, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, turned from a parking lot onto the boulevard, troopers said, forcing the Edge into a 2009 Dodge Journey driven by Rene Garza, 22, of Fort Myers. Garza had stopped for traffiic.
