Pearl River County, MS : 42-year-old Daphne Dyson died in single-vehicle accident on Highway 43 in Poplarville on Monday morning, Nov 23, 2015

A Poplarville woman was killed Monday morning after her SUV left the roadway and hit a tree, throwing her from the vehicle. The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 43, about a mile north of Highway 26.

Pearl River County Deputy Coroner Albert Lee identified the woman as 42-year-old Daphne Dyson.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Benjamin Seibert said Dyson went off the road, over corrected and then hit a tree. Seibert said she was not wearing a seat belt.

Lee said Dyson was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Dempsey Seal. Lee said an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
