Schenectady, NY : Man killed by SUV while walking in Schenectady Street on Saturday, December 20, 2014

Police say a 57-year-old man has died after being struck by a sports utility vehicle while he was walking on a Schenectady street. Schenectady police said Limin Xia was walking east near the shoulder of Albany Street near Fairview Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was also traveling eastbound. Xia was treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he later died. The driver’s name was not released.
