Woman dead after fatal car accident in Gresham

A 26-year-old woman died in a Sunday morning car crash in Gresham, police said in a release.

Nichole Anstaett, a 26-year-old Gresham resident, died at the scene of a crash on Southeast Orient Drive. Around 7 a.m., she was driving west when she rear-ended another vehicle turning east onto Southeast Salquist Road, the release said.
Anstaett lost control of her car and was "partially ejected," according to Gresham Police. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The release didn't say if there were any passengers in either vehicle.Gresham police are investigating the crash.
