CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA : Altavista man dies in Campbell County crash on Wednesday, 6th March 2024

Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a 64-year-old man in Campbell County on Wednesday morning.

State police said the crash occurred on Glayds Road just before 1 am. on March 6. Investigators confirmed Michael L. Hudgins, 64, of Altavista, was driving a Ford Ranger west when he allegedly ran off the right side of the road.

According to VSP, Hudgins overcorrected and ran off the road again. The Ford then hit an embankment and a tree.
