Pensacola, FL : Motorcyclist killed in Santa Rosa County crash on Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017

A 22-year-old Niceville man was killed in a traffic crash in Santa Rosa County on Tuesday morning.

Jeremy Ross was riding a motorcycle westbound on U.S. 98 in the inside lane at about 8:20 a.m.

A Ford SUV driven by Jamaal Nicholas, 34, of Navarre, was stopped in a left turn lane in traffic.

Ross failed to maintain control of his vehicle and collided with Nicholas’ vehicle, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Ross was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the westbound turning lane.

He was transported to Gulf Breeze Hospital but died of his injuries.
