Goshen, IN : Michigan woman injured in collision with tractor-trailer east of C.R. 33, Middlebury on Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017

A Union, Michigan, resident was injured Tuesday morning when police said she sideswiped a tractor-trailer on U.S. 20, east of C.R. 33, Middlebury.

According to a news release from the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, Eusebio Escobar, 59, Chicago Heights, Illinois, was eastbound on U.S. 20 in a 2009 Kenworth tractor-trailer when he was sideswiped by Mikkilynn Holdread, 34, who was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta. Holdread drove left of center for unknown reasons, police said.

Holdread was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment of head injuries. Escobar was uninjured. No law enforcement action has been taken at this time as the crash is still under investigation.
