Hampton, VA : One person extricated from a vehicle after a crash early Sunday, May 8, 2016

A driver was extricated from a vehicle after a crash early Sunday in Hampton.

Authorities responded to the crash about 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Semple Farm Road, according to a tweet from the Hampton Fire Department.

It took a half-hour to extricate someone from the sole vehicle involved in the crash, according to the fire department.

The person extricated was taken to a hospital and was in "stable" condition, the fire department said.
