Jonesboro, AR : 2 people injured after pedestrian crash on Johnson Avenue on Friday morning, January 30, 2015

A Paragould woman was cited for driving on a suspended license after an accident with a 15-year-old girl, according to a Jonesboro police crash report.

Nichole Herndon, 30, of Paragould was driving a white 2007 Dodge Charger Friday morning on Johnson Avenue, heading westbound. According to police, she struck the 15-year old pedestrian as she ran across Johnson.

According to the police narrative, “(The) pedestrian failed to yield to V1 when she crossed outside of the crosswalk thus causing (the) accident.”

The pedestrian was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center, where her condition is unknown. The driver was also taken to a local hospital, the narrative stated.

Due to a new state law, police can no longer release the names of juveniles involved in motor vehicle accidents.
