Friday night, a woman was killed in a two-car crash on 8th Avenue South.

She was identified as Kristi Randolph, a 55 year old of Old Hickory. Randolph was traveling north on 8th Avenue in a 1998 Buick Century at 9:20.

For reasons unknown, the car crossed the double yellow line and collided with a southbound 2010 Honda Accord.

Randolph died shortly after arrival at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The driver of the Honda, Brian Doss, 35-of Donelson, was not seriously hurt.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. There was no indication of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene. The investigation is continuing
