LOS ANGELES, CA : 9 hurt in Los Angeles crash involving police cruiser on Monday, 13th August 2018

Authorities say nine people were injured after two vehicles collided and then struck a police cruiser in Los Angeles.

Police say the crash occurred Monday night near an intersection in the Lake Balboa area of the San Fernando Valley.

Officer Rosario Herrera says six people were inside one of the vehicles, an SUV that overturned. Two officers were in the cruiser stopped at a red light when their car was struck.

Herrera says the injuries ranged from minor to severe. She says the officers were in stable condition.
