Saint Petersburg, Florida
A woman was cited with reckless driving after causing a crash Tuesday morning on the northbound Howard Frankland Bridge that led to injuries and a rush-hour traffic jam, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Zayven Reese, 19, of Gainseville was weaving in and out of traffic when she changed lanes and struck another car, the patrol said. Her 2007 Ford ended up pressed against the inside barrier of the interstate.
The other car, a 2014 Nissan driven by Allan Parrish, 56, of St. Petersburg overturned several times and landed on its roof.
Reese had a 10-month-old baby with her in the car. Parrish, Reese and the infant all sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
The incident caused delays that stretched back to the Fourth Street N exit on the Pinellas County side of the bridge during the morning commute.
