Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday near Elma, according to Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 4:45 p.m. on U.S. Highway 12 at Keys Road, four miles west of Elma. State Patrol reports a 2000 Chrysler 300 was attempting to cross the highway from Keys Road. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup traveling west on the highway. The impact caused the Chrysler to hit a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup that was stopped for traffic.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 93-year-old man from La Pine, Oregon, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The Ford driver, a 51-year-old man from Hoquiam, was transported to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma. The Dodge driver was not injured.
The Chrysler and Ford were both totaled.
One lane of the highway westbound was partially blocked for four hours.
