Fairmont, W.V : 26-year-old man dies in motorcycle accident on Pennsylvania Avenue Monday, September 26, 2016

Police say a 26-year-old Fairmont man died after an early morning motorcycle accident.

Fairmont Police Chief Steve Shine said Romeo Duchaine, 26, of Fairmont, was the driver of a motorcycle that crashed into P&S Used Cars on Pennsylvania Avenue around 5 a.m. Monday. Shine released the driver's name after his family was notified.

Shine said speed appeared to have played a factor in the accident and the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved. He said Duchaine was pronounced dead on scene.

"The operator of the motorcycle lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the building," Shine said.

The Fairmont Police Department is investigating the incident.
