Troutman , NC : Two drivers hospitalized after head-on collision along US 21 on Monday ,June 15th 2015

investigating after an accident in Troutman sent two drivers to the hospital.

A Nissan pickup truck was traveling southbound on US-21 Monday night. A Nissan Pathfinder was traveling northbound.

Troopers said the pickup went left of the center line and hit the pathfinder. The pickup truck’s driver was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center. The other driver was airlifted to Davis Regional Hospital.

No other passengers were in the vehicle.

Troopers said charges are pending, but speed and alcohol were not suspected as factors in the accident.

The drivers’ names have not been released.
