Georgia ,VT : 71-year-old motorcyclist crossed center lane, crashed into SUV on Saturday morning ,July 25th 2015

Vermont state police say a motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after crossing the center line and crashing into an SUV in Georgia, Vermont.

Authorities say 71-year-old Hector Messier of Frelighsburg, Quebec, was leading a group of eight motorcyclist south on Georgia Shore Road Saturday morning when the crash occurred.

Police say Messier crossed the center line on a sharp curve and crashed into an SUV driven by 56-year-old Arnaldo Rios of Swanton, Vermont.

First responders pronounced Messier dead at the scene. Police say Rios was not injured.

No criminal charges have been filed in connection with the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
