A 55-year-old woman has been struck and killed by a New York City bus making a right turn. Police say the accident happened at 10 p.m. Wednesday in Queens. They say Melania Ward was crossing Astoria Boulevard when she was hit by a bus making a right turn onto the boulevard. The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
