A Stroudsburg man died in a single car crash in Hamilton Township Wednesday night.
Daryl Santiago, 35, was driving north on two-lane Route 209 just north of the intersection with Lesh Road at 11:56 p.m. He failed to negotiate a left turn, lost control of his 1995 Saturn and hit a tree on the driver’s side, according to police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen at 12:52 a.m. Thursday. The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma, he said.
Emergency Medical Providers, the Blue Ridge Fire Company, St. Lukes EMS and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
