The South Carolina Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist in Hartsville and then drove away.
Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins tells local media outlets that the incident happened about 7 p.m. Monday. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
Collins says troopers don't have a description of the vehicle involved but are hoping anyone driving along East Carolina Avenue near Rolling Road at the time may have seen something.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Highway Patrol.
