Woodburn, OR : One person killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 99 near Pelle Passi Road in Woodbury city on Sunday morning, Nov 15, 2015

One person was killed after a two car crash on Highway 99E near Woodburn, according to Oregon State Police.

Officials say a 2000 Honda Odyssey was heading south on Highway 99E near Belle Passi Road Northeast when it was rear ended by a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche.

The Odyssey was being operated as a taxi driven by Erica Perez Perez of Woodburn.

There were three passengers inside the Odyssey at the time.

One of the passengers in the back of the car, Martha Cruz Aldama,34, of Woodburn, died at the scene.

State police the driver of the car and front passenger were wearing seat belts at the time, but it is unknown if the two passengers in back were using their seat belts.

Alcohol is being considered a contributing factor in the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet Avalanche, Leovigildo Torralba-Arzola, 29, of Salem, was arrested on multiple charges including driving while under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, reckless endangering people, and manslaughter.
