Paulding, OH : Three people injured afer a wrong-way crash in Paulding County on Thursday afternoon, Nov 12, 2015

Witnesses called police in Ohio Thursday afternoon to report a vehicle driving the wrong direction that hit an oncoming vehicle.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported just before 4 p.m. an SUV driven by Caroline Dangler, 71, of Cecil, was driving west in the east bound lanes of US 24 and hit a car. The two occupants, the driver David Pessefall Jr., 45, and the passenger Kathy J. Pessefall, 36, both from Sherwood were injured.

Police said all three involved in the crash were taken to a hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Police do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash and said all three used a seat belt.

Westbound lanes on US 24 were closed for a short time. The crash is still under investigation.
