Victoria,TX : 2-vehicle wreck sends motorcyclist to hospital on September, Monday 11th 2017

A two-vehicle wreck sent a man to a hospital Monday evening.

Marvin Don Clayton, 59, of Refugio, was northbound on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he turned left from Farm-to-Market Road 1686 onto Houston Highway toward Victoria and stopped for oncoming traffic about 5:40 p.m.

A blue Ford Focus driven by Singen Christopher Stephens, 22, of Victoria, was behind the motorcyclist, turned left from the same road and struck the motorcycle, said Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, Department of Public Safety spokesman.

The motorcycle fell over, injuring Clayton, who was taken to Citizens Medical Center. Clayton was in stable condition as of Monday evening, San Miguel said.

The driver of the Ford Focus was not cited at the scene, but Trooper Brian Babcock said that could change because the wreck was under investigation.
