Clermont County, OH : Two Hurt, One Critically, in a one-car crash in Clermont County on Wednesday night, November 12, 2014
Authorities are investigating after two people were injured — one of them critically — in a one-car crash in Clermont County late Wednesday night.
Nicholas S. Roberts, 22, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon west on Deblin Drive near Buckwheat Road in Miami Township when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a pole. Marissa Shelton, 23, was in the passenger seat, according to a news release from the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, which is investigating the crash.
Air Care transported Shelton, of New Richmond, to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with critical injuries. Roberts, of Milford, is being treated at Clermont Mercy Hospital with injuries that do not appear life-threatening.
Neither Shelton nor Roberts were wearing seat belts, according to the release. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, which occurred at about 11:01 p.m.
