NASHVILLE, TN : Driver with six DUI convictions facing life-threatening injuries after Nashville crash on Wednesday, 20th March 2024

A man has life-threatening injuries after crashing near the entrance of a Nashville apartment complex on Wednesday morning.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said a preliminary investigation shows a 64-year-old man was driving a Lincoln westbound on Wallace Road toward Recovery Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed over into an opposite lane and went off the south side of the road, police said.

The vehicle hit a fire hydrant and utility pole guy wire before coming to a stop in a drainage area near Longwood Apartment Homes, police said. The man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where his injuries were deemed life-threatening.
