A man was hit by a car at the intersection of Barkley Avenue and Sigmon Rd just after midnight, according to Lincoln County Communications.
The driver who hit the man called police to the scene, at the intersection near the Lincoln Center strip mall.
The man suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital with intent to fly him out to another hospital for treatment.
The scene has since cleared.
