Clarksburg, VA : Two people injures Head-on collision on Thursday September 1 2016

Wet roadways are to blame for a Thursday morning head-on collision.

According to Sheriff Terring Skinner, the responding officer, the driver of a Red 2002 Dodge Stratus was traveling westbound on U.S. Route 50, just passed the intersection with Eby Road, when they crossed a double yellow line and struck a 2008 Silver Chevy Cobalt head on.

Skinner said the driver of the Stratus braked as they entered the turn, but because roadways were wet the car slid across the double yellow lines.
