An 84-year-old woman has been displaced from her home in the 1000 block of Abbottstown Pike in Hamilton Township after an crash involving a tractor-trailer early Friday morning.

Gary Elias Jones, 47, of York, was driving at tractor-trailer south on Route 194 at 1:45 a.m. when he traveled off the road, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Gettysburg.

The vehicle traveled approximately 75 yards through a property and into the home of Mary Louise Frey, 84, before exiting through the south side of the house, police said.

Frey was inside of the home at the time of the crash but was not injured, police said. The truck entered the home approximately 10 feet from Frey's bedroom, which was located in an addition to the home. Jones helped to remove Frey from the residence, police said.

The house was originally built in the 1880s, according to a plaque on the house.

Police are still investigating why Jones traveling off the road.

Police were assisted on the scene by Liberty, United Hook and Ladder, Dover, and Lake Meade fire companies; Cumberland Department of Public Safety; Reading Township Police Department; York County Department of Emergency Services; and utility companies.
