VAUGHNSVILLE, OH : Lima woman dies in Putnam County crash on Monday, March 13th 2017
A 20-year-old Lima woman was killed in a single-car crash Monday on Ohio 115 in Putnam County, the Lima post of the State Highway Patrol reports.
Keona Lashay Madlock was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.
The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. near the Allen and Putnam County line.
Madlock was driving a 1997 Buick Century north on Ohio 115 when she lost control of the car and traveled off the right side of the road, striking a tree, the patrol said.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash, the patrol said. Madlock was not wearing a safety belt.
Ohio 115 was closed for about two hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.
Assisting at the accident scene were the Putnam County and Allen County sheriff’s offices, Kalida Fire Department, Putnam County EMS, the Putnam County Coroner’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home and Delpha Chevrolet.
