STUART, FL : Two PBC men critically injured in Tequesta crash on Saturday, March 4th 2017

Two men from Palm Beach County were critically injured in a wrong-way collision between a car and a motorcycle Saturday morning in Tequesta, just north of the county line, according to the Florida Highway Patrol

Deshaun Pugh, 38, of Riviera Beach, and Melbin Montejo, 29, of Jupiter were injured and both taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

Pugh’s Toyota Camry struck Montejo’s motorcycle on U.S. 1 just north of the Palm Beach-Martin county line. Pugh was found to be traveling southbound in the northbound lane of U.S. 1 when his car hit Montejo’s motorcycle, FHP officials said.

Pugh’s car then veered left before hitting a mailbox, gates and a concrete wall.

Charges in the incident are pending. It is not known if alcohol was related in the crash.
