Mesa, WA : Two Ephrata residents hurt in crash near Mesa on Monday, December 19, 2016

An Ephrata woman remained hospitalized in Richland on Tuesday following a crash north of Mesa on Monday.

The Washington State Patrol is not sure why Ryan I. Granlund, 33, of Ephrata, lost control of the van on Highway 17 at 11:45 p.m.

He was driving a silver 2000 Chevrolet Astro van north when the van left to the road and rolled, according to the WSP.

Granlund was treated at Othello Community Hospital and later released. His passenger Lasean E. Burdue-Troxclair, 25, of Ephrata, was in stable condition at Kadlec Regional Medical Center on Tuesday.
