Tampa, FL : Wimauma motorcyclist dies in Riverview crash on Thursday, January, 4th 2018
A Wimauma motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck in Riverview.
The crash occurred around 8:50 on U.S. 301 and Ambleside Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say 18-year-old Bradley Broughton was speeding and weaving through traffic while riding northbound on U.S. 301 when he was struck by a southbound 1999 Ford F-150 driven by 71-year-old Antonio Martinez-Ramirez, of Tampa.
Martinez-Ramirez turned left in front of Broughton, who died at the scene, troopers say.
Martinez-Ramirez sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, troopers say.
Broughton was wearing a helmet, troopers say, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
