Valparaiso, IN : No one badly hurt in 4 vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 6 in front of the Arbor View Animal Hospital on Wednesday, 5th February, 2020
No one was seriously injured Wednesday morning in a four-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 6 in front of the Arbor View Animal Hospital, the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department is reporting.
According to LTVFD, the crash occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m., resulting in one of the four vehicles’ rolling over then landing upright several hundred feet down the road.
All of the vehicles’ occupants were checked at the scene by Porter County EMS.
Airbags in the vehicles did successfully deploy, LTVFD noted, “protecting the occupants inside.” One of the vehicles was found to be smoking from coolant leaking onto hot surfaces, “creating the illusion of a vehicle fire.”
Both east- and westbound motorists on Wednesday likely experienced “slight delays” during their morning commute, as U.S. 6 was closed between C.R. 200W and Ind. 149 due to “debris spread across the roadway and vehicles from the wreck,” LTVFD said.
