Porter, TX : Bicyclist killed in a crash near Porter on Thursday night, November 3, 2016

A bicyclist died late Thursday night when he was struck by a motorist on FM 1314.
Jose Galvez, 56, was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:14 p.m.

Dispatchers received multiple 911 call shortly after 11 p.m. stating that a person may have been killed in the accident near Timberland Boulevard.

The driver of the vehicle was traveling north on FM 1314 when he struck Galvez riding his bicycle on the inside lane of northbound traffic, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety's accident report. The driver was not injured in the accident.

Galvez was transported by Eickenhorst Funeral Service to the Montgomery County Forensics Center in Conroe for an autopsy.

No charges were filed.
