Five people were taken to the hospital after a Saturday afternoon head-on-crash south of Hamilton.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the driver of a Ford Taurus was heading south on U.S. Highway 93 at about 5 p.m. when the vehicle crossed the center lane and hit a northbound passenger car head-on near Skalkaho Pass Road.
There were four people in the northbound car - all from Canada - with one passenger flown to a Missoula hospital. The four other people hurt in the wreck were taken to Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. Three of those passengers were later taken to a Missoula hospital.
Troopers tell us that all five people were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
